Today we boarded our buses and drove to the United Nations
Building. We were now
divided into three groups (by color and number!) and were mixed in with
the other Delegates
in NY at this time. Our first "task" was to line up for
our formal photograph on the main stairway. Then we toured the
building, learning about various meeting areas and programs within the
United nations. |

These 3 photos were taken in front of our hotel. I stood at
one spot and rotated from left to right. The building at the far
left is Madison Square Garden. It has Penn Station below it and
thousands of people stream out of it every morning. This is about
8:30am. If you could look all the way down the street, you would see
Times Square. |

After lining up, we
entered the UN building and toured the facility.
Our "green group" tour guide was from Nabiba. She
pointed out various works of art that have been donated from around the
world. On the left are two pictures of the area in front of
Rockefeller
Center. One shows how it looked while we were there and
one shows how it looks in the winter. |

After our UN tours,
we spent about two hours shopping and looking along 5th Avenue.
Then we met at Rockefeller Center and had dinner at TGIF's. Then a
long walk back to our hotel. |
