Wednesday, July 11,
2001. This fine morning found us all at
Central Park. We
"volunteered" to weed and rake the area
along the outside of
the park. While we did a lot of work, it
was a small percentage
because the park is 1/2 mile by 3
miles in size. Everyone seemed
to enjoy the exercise and
chance to give back to the community.
The Delegates were required to
give a speech. The topic was "How the UN has improved the
state of the world's children."
The preliminary speeches were done in the hotel rooms. This
picture is in my room on the 26th floor of the Southgate.
We went to the Broadway play
Les Miserables
at the Imperial Theatre.
Fantastic!
